Paul W. Young received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in Psychology.
After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the University of La Verne College of Law, Mr. Young was admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Young has 25 years of experience in the field of workers’ compensation law. Prior to joining the firm he was a partner at Lewis, Marenstein, Wicke & Sherwin, and a founding partner at Straussner, Sherman & Young, during which time his experience involving presumptive injuries, Injured on Duty and Labor Code §4850 benefits enabled him to successfully represent firefighters, sworn and civilian personnel in the litigation and resolution of both workers’ compensation and service connected disability retirements.
Thereafter, Mr. Young devoted his career to the representation of employers, insurance companies and self-insured entities in all workers’ compensation matters. Mr. Young has extensive experience with the handling of complex litigation cases involving high exposure, multiple
defendants, 132(a) discrimination claims as well as serious and willful misconduct allegations.
